Diamondbacks run streak to six

dbacksdodgers.jpg

Why doesn't ANYONE ever give Arizona the credit that they deserve? Last year, no one expected the D-Backs to do what they did in getting to the playoffs. And then, in the first round, they beat the crap out of the favored Chicago Cubs. And beginning this year, Arizona wasn't an overwhelming choice to be successful yet again.

And now, here they are--again--winning. Posting their sixth victory in a row in dramatic fashion over the Los Angeles Dodgers and completing a sweep, the D-backs are rolling and putting out a message to the rest of the league--we are here and we are not going anywhere. The Diamondbacks have been actually relying upon some good power hitting, but today was different--they had to come back.

It was a blow to the Dodgers, who have not exactly lived up to what expectations the city of Los Angeles had for them and especially in getting new manager Joe Torre. The offense has been atrocious over all, but Torre reiterated that it's important that it's still early in the season and his young team not lose confidence. Perhaps by watching the Diamondbacks and their abilities--they can learn something.
