Orioles finally having fun

Losing 93 times in a year can't be fun. I mean, come on, who would admit to that unless your team lost 100 the year before? Even then that's a stretch. So now, when your team starts out 6-1, it's got to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys--and that's exactly how the Baltimore Orioles are describing their beginning of year run: fun.

After bombing the Texas Rangers 8-1 in the season opener in Arlington, Aubrey Huff, who matched a career high with four hits, couldn't even believe that the team had a six-game winning streak last year, which is what they've started off this year with after dropping their opening game. Scott Moore and Luke Scott each hit home runs in the victory as well.

It was also sweet revenge for Brian Burres, who was probably a little nervous facing a team that absolutely shellacked him the last time out in 2007. In that game, he only pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up eight runs, including a grand slam. Today, he shut the Rangers down, only giving up 1 run in seven innings and scattering seven hits.

Fun....Isn't that what's all about?
